A quick police response by the Central Police officers has resulted in the recovery of a stolen Motor Vehicle at the 15 Mile outside Port Moresby.
CentralProvincial Police Commander (PPC), acting Superintendent, Joseph Salle confirmed that the Central Police has returned the stolen motor vehicle to the rightful owners at the Plywood business yard at Madoguba, Laloki along Hiritano Highway, Central Province.
PPC Salle said more than seven suspects armed with homemade pistols and offensive weapons forcefully entered the Plywood business yard at Madoguba, Laloki along the Hiritano Highway and stole the vehicle, a K30,000.00 cash money as well as three smart phones. He said the incident happened yesterday (Monday 23rd January 2025) at around 10:00am in the morning.

Mr Salle said the suspects ransacked the premises, injuring three Chinese nationals and one Bangladesh national in the process of stealing and made away with a black Toyota Prado V8 vehicle (registration number: CBF 094), K30,000.00 cash money, and three smart phones as well.
PPC Salle said the police officers upon receiving a tip off, a coordinated police response was initiated by the Central Quick Response Force (QRF), along with Rural Base Team 03 (RB03) and the 15 Mile Unit, recovered the stolen vehicle at the 15 Mile area with the assistance of the locals.
He said police investigations are underway to locate the whereabouts of the suspects involved.
PPC Salle commended his men in blue for quick recovery of the stollen vehicle. He said this was possible through the coordinated team work with prompt police response and praised his men for a job well done.
