Tech companies present K70,000 sponsorship to ITI

Digitech ICT Limited and PNG DataCo have presented a total of K70,000 sponsorship to International Training Institute (ITI) to host the second Artificial intelligence (AI) summit on 6 March 2026 in Port Moresby.

Digitech contributed K40,000 and PNG DataCo provided K30,000 for the summit.

During the presentation, Chief Executive Officer of Digitech Satyen Singh said: “We are very happy to support the second AI Summit that will be hosted by ITI. AI is the future and if we are looking at, how do we improve our productivity, our efficiency, the economy and the national priorities, then AI is a way forward. And so, we are looking forward to contributing in this event, be it healthcare, be it education, be it agriculture, all the necessity, and all the industries that drives the nation, knowing they will benefit greatly from AI. This K40,000 sponsor is a combination of money and discounts of products.”

PNG DataCo CEO Paul Komboi said: “AI is advancing at a very fast rate in PNG, hence, this summit helps us to understand how it is progressing and we would like to promote people to use technology to our advantage in our life not only in our professional careers but also in our private life as well as the social aspect of it. This platinum sponsorship of K30 000 is K20 000 in cash and K10 000 in the internet space.”

Mr Komboi also urged stakeholders, including government departments to participate in the summit.

Chairman and co-founder Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval said: “It is an honor to have Digitech as the title sponsor because we have for the first time signed an MOU a few weeks ago and suddenly we have them as our title sponsors for our second AI summit.  Also, with Dataco we   appreciate the continuous support and collaboration in the AI space since our first summit last year, we are looking forward to many more collaborations with Digitech and Dataco in the future.”
