Minister for International Trade and Investment and Yangoru-Saussia MP, Hon. Richard Maru announced today that the earth works for the new roads and drainages as commenced in the new Yangoru Mobile Barracks.
“This is a very important aspect of the work that needs to be completed in the next three months. The continuous rain has not helped the progress of the work, but it is continuing,” said Minister Maru.
“In the meantime, we are going out on tender now to have the fence erected and the office and other amenities put up. We hope to have the Mobile Barracks this year,” said Minister Maru.
Minister Maru thanked the Marape-Rosso Government for all the support towards this project.
“The completion of this Mobile Barracks is the major priority of the Marape-Rosso Government which will serve not just the Yangoru-Saussia District but the East and West Sepik Province to reduce crime which is one of the biggest development challenges that we face, apart from unreliable and continuous power blackouts,” said Minister Maru.
