THE Hunters center Clent Lama is well and ready for the Hunters season 2025 as he expressed his relieved after returning from an ankle injury.
Clent Lama, who sustained an ankle injury while playing for the Hunters in season 2024, were out for four to five weeks doing rehab.
Speaking during a media session today, the Hunters center stated that he was facing tough preseason with the new boys in the camp.
“The preseason was hard as always but the boys are supporting each other. For my injury I have fully recovered,” he said.
“Just trying to give everything during the training every day,” Lama added.
“I am working on my scales, mostly my defense and attack,” he expressed.
Having the new boys in the camp, Lama said he is maintaining communications with them as they learn new things in the preseason.
“It is good to rubbing shoulders with the new boys in the camp and let them have the taste of how it feels to be in the Intrust Super Cup,” he said.
Lama is looking forward for the trials which he plans to display what he had learnt in the preseason and get ready for the Queensland Host Plus Cup season 2025.
As Assistant Coach Enock Maki stated Clant Lama is also one of the players that can play multiple positions.
“It is good playing different positions. Try to play forwards and going and play backs again, it’s very good. A bit tough but back then I used to play forwards in the school boys so.”
Last year Lama was given forward position in two games and then was switched back to the backline which he describes as; “I am good at forwards and backs also.”
