HUNTERS prop Jordan Pat is ready to take the lead at the middle in another great home soil showdown this Sunday.

Pat is preparing to lead the forwards to dismantle opponent’s defense while allowing the backline to execute their game when Hunters takes on Wynnum Manley Seagulls at the Santos National Football Stadium this Sunday 4th of May 2025.

During an interview yesterday, Pat expressed his gratitude to the team mates and the coaches for achievement during their round seven match against Burleigh Beers last Saturday.

“We came back from our two loses and claimed the Kokoda Cup. That game was tough as we played with the top team in the Queensland Hostplus cup competition,” he said.

“We knew it was a special round and we wanted to make history by setting the foundation for the young ones so we did that and won the Kokoda Cup,” Pat stated.

He highlighted some of the areas that were addressed in order to win the match, particularly silly errors like drop balls, miss tackles, and penalties.

Pat said such errors happen in every match and the players are taking every training session to work on it under the mentorship of Coach Aiton.

Looking forward for the match against Wynnum Manley Seagulls on Sunday, Pat encourages the new forwards in the middle to work hard as it requires a lot of work.

“I encourage those in the middle to run hard, tackle hard and stay in the field for as long as they can.”

Pat has stayed focus in his training since the preseason up until the victory over the Beers and is looking at putting his body in line for another exciting match this Sunday.
