The K300,000 Grand Prize play-off is just few weeks away following the successful completion of major semi-final matches for leg two over the weekend.

Vadatau Brothers and Talai Spartans will be playing for K10,000 first prize and K5,000 second prize on the leg two grand final, while SS Dolphins and Buria Reds will be competing for the third spot with K3,000 cash prize.

Brothers and Spartans are automatically qualified for the grand prize challenge whereas Reds and Dolphins will be fighting for a single spot remaining.

Rigo Rice Owner and Major Sponsor Jeffery Kennedy will be available at Bava Park to make the official presentation with CEO Mcsteve Polly.

The Competition CEO Mcsteve Polly stressed about the intense pressures encountered on the second legs.

“We encountered many challenges on leg two, which was not similar to the first leg of this tourney but the team took it all as complements and aims to advance forward,” said Mr. Polly.

Polly further alluded that the Rigo Rice Cup Grand Final for leg two is scheduled to happen on Sunday 23rd February at the Bava Park.

“With experiences from the first leg’s grand finale, we will tighten up security on game day with full police presence to ensure that games progress well without disruptions.”

The CEO then concluded that there will be lots of entertainment and surprises on the grand final day with the inclusion of 2017 premiership winning PNG Hunters team to grace the show.
