THREE IN-A-ROW! The SP PNG Hunters have made it three wins in a row after defeating the SC Falcons on the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon. The half-time scores saw a solid first half by the SP PNG Hunters leading 14-6 over the Sunshine Coast Falcons in Round 4 of the Intrust Super Cup at the home away from home, Bycroft Oval, Runaway Bay. The Hunters scored three tries through Terry Wapi, Norman Brown and Ben Kelly with two unsuccessful conversions by Charlie Simon. Explosive, bruishing and violent were some of the terms used by commentary team yesterday to describe the Hunters defense as the PNG flagship team embarrassed the SC Falcons 32-12 in rivalry round. What a debut for Norman Brown who comes in for the injured Brendan Gotuno and scores two tries on debut. The Hunters made 17 errors in the game but made that up for their brutal defense and thrust in attack. The Hunters have settled in Queensland and stitched together three wins on the trot in front of a pro Hunters crowd at Gold Coast. They Hunters are now leading the Intrust Super Cup ladders.
