AN amazing reaction from the crowd ensured a memorable finish at the Santos National Football Stadium, on Sunday, even though the Tigers were defeated 46-24 by the Hunters.
As the Hunters led comfortably throughout the game, the crowd’s support initially favored the Hunters, particularly from the grandstand and parts of the Western wing.
However, the second half saw a shift as fans from the Northern, Eastern, and Southern stands rallied behind the Tigers, creating a wave of excitement.
The Tigers were energized by the crowd’s backing and responded by intensifying their attack, breaking through the Hunters’ defense and showcasing impressive football skills.
Their efforts managed to close the gap, lifting their score to 24 points and forcing the Hunters to defend more rigorously.
The game concluded with a beautiful display of sportsmanship as the crowd balanced their support between both teams.
Former Hunters coach and current Brisbane coach Matt Church, along with Paul Aiton, were present to witness the exciting finish.
The Tigers also took the opportunity to interact with fans, sharing conversations, photos, and gifts as a gesture of appreciation for their support and the love of rugby.
