In front of a pool crowd, the win by Trenglish did not come easy as they had to pull off the plug with a consistent performance in the semifinals against Team Mining. They sent Mining away to dig more gold with a mesmerising 4-1 victory to book the grand final spot.

While in the other semifinal between Pacific Dragons and Auditor General, the Auditors ran away with a good lead 3-1 but the Dragons led by Jacky Woo came from behind and sent Auditors packing with their books to win 4-3.
