WABO CONFIDENT FOR TODAY’S MATCH

HUNTERS full back Sanny Wabo’s dream of representing his country has been fulfilled with him sealing the position of Prime Minister’s XIII fullback in PNG squad.

In an exclusive interview with Sunday Bulletin Newspaper yesterday, Wabo expressed his heartfelt gratitude for being selected as the fullback for the PM’s XIII.

“First of all, I want to give glory and honor back to God who is the source of everything in life.

“Secondly, I would like to thank my Coach Paul Aiton and my friends from Hunters for having a good season together.

“From there I was called up to make the PM’s XIII squad,” Wabo said.

He played exceptionally for the Hunters in the 2024 Queensland Host Plus Cup competition and have earned spot in the PM’s XIII line up.   

Sanny Wabo said he is confident to play today, representing his country in front of the home crowd.

“I would like to thank my family and my community for always supporting me through my journey till I have achieved my dream,” he said

Wabo also thanked Kumuls coach Jason Demetriou for having the trust in him as he looks forward to play with his heart today.
