Destroyed properties in 2022 election to be replaced

By FREDRICK JEJERI

MOROBE provincial acting administrator Max Bruteen has announced that the government buildings and properties that were burnt down during the 2022 National General Election will be replaced under his leadership.

He emphasized that the importance of replacing the valuable properties is to give public confidence to the communities.

Mr. Bruteen said he will inspect 10 districts in the area before considering the replacement of the lost properties.

“Other valuable properties apart from the buildings that were destroyed during the national general elections will be replaced,” he added.

“This is to give public confidence to our communities. The consideration of replacing lost valuable properties will be done after I inspect 10 districts in the area.”

In addition to this, Bruteen also highlighted the need for punctuality among public servants in the province.

He plans to apply effective measures to ensure that public servants who are consistently late will subject to disciplinary action, and eventually ask to leave.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bruteen already begun his visits to Nawaeb, Menyamya, and Markham districts, and will visit seven more districts before making recommendations on the replacement of the lost buildings and properties during the election.
