LAE Snax Tigers defeated the PRK Gulf Isou with 24 points to 10 in the round 13 showdown at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby yesterday.
Tigers registered all their tries in the first half of the match while Gulf Isou registered only one with 24-4 points at half time.
During the full-time interview with Lae Snax Tigers Noel Zeming, he accredited their victory to his boys for displaying basics and sticking to their style of footy and attacking tactics, which stood out in their match against the Isou.
When Isou’s captain Eliakim Lukara crossed the line at the 28th minute of first half, the scoreboard was 16 points to 4 in favour of visiting Lae Snax Tigers.
A sneaky play from the Tigers middle ruck sent Dickson Otto in for another 4 points, adding extras in the conversion.
After the Isou registered their second try through Clifford Kapipi, the second half of the match was real test for both teams with a lot of errors.
The teams played with desperation to hold grip of the footy, which they kept losing control of it in the entire match.
Poor game management and control from the Isou side caused them to give away points for their opponents.
Tiger’s game in the second forty minutes was not up to the expectations and they went to conclude the match without earning any points.
