GG signs K149m Four-Lane Laloki Road contract along Hiritano Highway

His Excellency Grand Chief Sir Bob Bofeng Dadae, GCL, GCMG, KStJ, Governor General of Papua New Guinea, has officially signed a contract on behalf of the State for the construction and financing of a four-lane road section at Laloki along the Hiritano Highway in Central Province.

The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, and financing of a 4.599 km four-lane road section between Laloki Bridge and the Mountain View Estate turnoff, as well as a 17.888 km two-lane road section between the Mountain View Estate turnoff and Brown River Bridge.

This project, part of the Connect PNG Phase 1 program in Central Province, is valued at K147,907,385.99 and will be fully funded by the National Government.

The National Executive Council has awarded the contract to Hebou Construction (PNG) Limited. The contract was signed by company representatives, Managing Director George Constantinou and General Manager Jamie Mitchell, in the presence of the Governor General and witnessed by the Secretary of the Department of Works and Highways, Mr. David Ruma Wereh, CMG, this morning at Government House.
