DCI hosts workshop on gender equality and Inclusion

The workshop was led by the Department of Personnel Management (DPM) through its GESI desks. This event is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to create a work environment where diversity is not only recognized but celebrated.

David Ganaii, Secretary for the DCI, emphasized the significance of the workshop. He said, “This policy, led by the Department of Personnel Management (DPM), is more than just another government initiative.

It is a vital commitment to fostering a culture where diversity is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to contribute to their fullest potential.”

Ganaii also expressed his department’s commitment to working closely with the DPM in this important effort. He thanked DPM Secretary Taies Sansan for sending her team to conduct the workshop, highlighting the importance of such partnerships in bringing about positive change in the public service.

The workshop aimed to create an inclusive environment at the DCI by giving staff the tools and knowledge needed to put the GESI policy into practice. Participants engaged in discussions and explored practical strategies to make their workplaces more inclusive and fairer.

By the end of the workshop, DCI staff were well-prepared to implement the GESI policy, ensuring their department not only operates efficiently but also sets an example of inclusivity in the workplace.
