KROTON Hela Wigmen coach Ian Yaro is determined as his team prepares to face the Enga Mioks in a crucial showdown to decide who will take on the reigning Minor Premiers, the Wamp NGA Mt. Hagen Eagles.
“I told the boys there’s no turning back; we survive every weekend,” Coach Ian Yaro said.
“We are sitting at the peak of the mountain, and that’s exactly where we want to stay.”
Both KMHL Enga Mioks and Hela Wigmen will have one last chance this Sunday to keep their finals dreams alive. The match promises a fierce battle, with both teams needing to be at their best.
The Wigmen have shown their resilience in two tough preliminary games, which gives them an edge going into the clash against the Mioks.
Meanwhile, the Mioks, who fought hard against the Hagen Eagles last week, will be aiming to capitalize on their experience from last year’s Grand Final against Bintangor Goroka Lahanis as they make another push towards the Grand Final arena.
Coach Yaro revealed that he is counting on the experience and precision of Trevor Solu to lead the team forward and secure the vital points needed for a spot in the Grand Final.
“He’s (Trevor) 100 percent kicking accuracy is a massive advantage, and I always rely heavily on him,” Yaro added.
