By JOEL KUTA ANDREW

Ten (10) local music artists that are based in Port Moresby has united to host a medical fundraising concert for colleague renowned music artist Daniel Bilip who is currently undergoing serious medical conditions.

After a medical appeal notice from Daniel Bilip’s family flooded the social media over the past days, local musicians are taking this initiative to support one of their own who is a colleague, brother and fellow musician in the industry.

The entire music fraternity in PNG, including people from other professions has also rallied behind the medical appeal campaign for this renowned music artist.

Speaking to the Sunday Bulletin Newspaper today, senior freelance keyboardist of Stagajah band Parix Sarenga has confirmed that the concert has been planned over the few days and is ready to be hosted on February 21st.

Sarenga further clarified that all funds raised from ticket sales during the concert will be diverted to cover medical, accommodation, and travel expenses for Bilip when he is referred overseas.

“Since PNG Music Industry is less funded by the government, we have decided to stay united by supporting and helping each other in desperate times to advance forward,” said Sarenga.

Daniel Bilip’s current state is serious, but immediate relatives remain focused and silent, as they are working towards the full recovery of Daniel Bilip in whatever ways possible.

In addition to the support, the Latitude Zero Production Studio has also offered two days of free rehearsal session at Manu in Port Moresby.
