HUNTERS Head Coach Paul Aiton is confident that Hunters will have a good season this year with the inclusion of the new players into the PNG Hunter’s Team.  After the three pre-season trials, Hunters are ready to begin their hunt with the announcement of the 33-men squad on Sunday.
Aiton stated that he is confident the new boys will bring forward the energy and skills that will boost the existing talents for a promising 2025 Queensland Hostplus Cup Competition.
Defense was a challenge for the hunting pack especially in the second half and coach Aiton said they will work on it to build a tougher wall.
Aiton Spoke confidence with the official announcement of the 33-men squad at the Port Moresby Nature Park on the 2nd of March 2025. He has selected a well-balanced squad featuring both seasoned veterans and promising new talent, setting the stage for another exciting campaign in the QRL’s Hostplus Cup competition.
Following last year’s strong finish in the preliminary finals against the Northern Devils, the team is determined to go even further this season, with the ultimate goal of winning
the Hostplus Cup.
