PPC appeals for the people of Jiwaka to maintain peace as Paul Paraka saga is currently in court

JIWAKA Provincial Police Commander (PPC), acting Superintendent, Laimo Asi has appealed to the citizens of Jiwaka province to maintain peace as usual as the Paul Paraka saga is currently in court.

PPC Asi made this comment following social media comments from the key board warriors as these comments may add fire to the current issue that is before the court. He said whatever happens in Port Moresby should be left to those concerned people or authorities to deal with.

He said Prime Minister James Marape and political leaders are also giving witnesses statements in the national court in Waigani and he urged everyone in the province to maintain law and order and do normal businesses.

Mr Asi said that as responsible police officers they would take every effort to ensure police presence is maintained at their areas of responsibility.

PPC Asi is expecting his Police Station Commanders (PSCs) Banz, Minz, and Officers in Charge (OIC) of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Officer in Charge (OIC) High-way patrols to take notes and prepare or adjust their duty roosters to continue show of police presence.in the key areas like Okuk highway and business houses in Jiwaka province.
