THE Papua New Guinea Fashion Week (PNGFW) has announced its partnership with Cosmopolitan, Papua New Guinea’s first and only super club.
Located on the second level of Vision City Mega Mall, Cosmopolitan is renowned for redefining entertainment with its luxurious and dynamic experience.
Now, the club is broadening its impact by offering exciting opportunities for local fashion designers, aiming to elevate emerging talent and highlight their creativity within the fashion industry.

Cosmopolitan is proud to host the second edition of its Amateur Fashion Designer Competition, providing up-and-coming designers a platform to showcase their unique fashion sense and innovative ideas.
Last year’s competition saw standout contestants Warren Lumbiai and Vari Tau making their mark at PNG Fashion Week, with Warren winning the Innovation Award and Vari taking home the Rising Star Award, underscoring the wealth of talent in PNG’s fashion scene.
Building on this success, Cosmopolitan is partnering with PNG Fashion Week to further support emerging designers.
The winner of this year’s competition will not only receive mentorship and recognition but will also be granted the exclusive opportunity to showcase their collection at PNG Fashion Week, gaining broader exposure and advancing their fashion careers.
“This partnership with Cosmopolitan is a significant milestone for PNGFW,” said Brisgette Kassman, spokesperson of PNG Fashion Week.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for emerging fashion designers to gain exposure, and we are proud to collaborate with an organization that has created a fantastic platform for the next generation of creative talent in PNG.”
PNG Fashion Week 2025 will take place from September 17th to 20th at the APEC Haus in Port Moresby.
Aspiring designers now have a unique opportunity to gain recognition and take their careers to the next level in the competitive fashion world.
The partnership between Cosmopolitan and PNG Fashion Week will provide a powerful platform for young designers, securing their place in the future of fashion in Papua New Guinea.
With the continued success of the competition and the support of PNG Fashion Week, the future of PNG fashion looks incredibly promising.
