THE Central Bougainville Open Electorate by-election Writs was issued today at the Government House.
Deputy Electoral Commissioner John Kalamoroh presented the Writs to the Governor General Chief Sir Bob Dadae.
The seat for the Central Bougainville Open Electorate was left vacant following the passing of late Hon. Simon Dumarinu in 2024.
The by-election will be conducted as follows:
●Issuing of Writs (Nomination Open) starts today, 8th of May
● Nominations closes on Thursday,15th May, ●Polling commences on Saturday, 31st May, ●Polling concludes on Friday, 6th June and
●Return of Writs on or before Friday, 27th June, 2025.
