IALIBU-Pangia MP Peter O’Neill alleges that the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is comprised.

“Daily issues on social media and public debate about ICAC works being stopped, having issues within the organisation,” Mr O’Neill said.

“We don’t want influences from outsider going into the organization so that they can work without fear or favor. Now we see that people outside are fighting for the organisation.

“I want to appeal to the Government that you have a duty to the nation to safeguard this organization and relook into something we did not fix.

“We politicians and leaders outside must remove ourselves from the organization so that it can build public confidence and people can believe it.

“I’ve seen that the three commissioners we have appointed are fighting and getting arrest of warrant among themselves.

“This kind of thing has undermined the work of the organisation because of lack of leadership.

“We need to be very careful; we are living in a global changing society where foreigners always looking at us. Because of that people do not believe in us.

“If it means to change the law, we change it,” O’Neill said.
