SDA group donates medical equipment to Moresby North-East clinics

THE Adventist Community Services (ACS) under the Seventh Day Adventist Ministry had donated medical equipment and essential needs to clinics in Moresby Northeast District.

The donation is to support the clinics to deliver basic health services in the National Capital District.

The donation drive carried out by ACS members is part of the Adventist Church Annual Community Service in Port Moresby.

The Adventist Church district director Pastor Ishmael Taine said the donation was part of their planned annual activity.

“We choose to donate to the clinics as part of our appreciation to the health services that we receive in clinics in NCD,” Pastor Taine said.

Six Mile Poly Clinic manageress, HEO Netlyn Amu, acknowledged the ACS members for their timely donation to the clinic.

“It is truly a blessing to receive the much-needed medical equipment from the Seventh Day Adventist Church,” HEO Amu said.

The items donated to the clinics are:

  • Four statoscopes
  • Thermometer -10 Digital & 10 Mercury
  • Two washing machines
  • Food and essential needs

Manageress of Gordons Urban Clinic Sister Nelly Lagame thanked ACS Women for continuing to support health services in the district.

NCD Provincial Health Authority chief executive Dr Robin Oge also thanked the SDA Church for their donation through ACS.

“This untimely donation will contribute towards the services that the clinic is providing to the people of NCD,” Dr Oge said.
