
PNG Cricket Board has announced the 15-player squad that will represent our nation at the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
This selection has been made after meticulous deliberation, analyzing current form, fitness, and the specific conditions the national cricket Men’s team is expected to face.
PNG Cricket Boards objective was not merely to choose 15 excellent cricketers, but to construct a versatile, balanced, and dynamic unit capable of lifting the trophy.
The selected squad is as follows:
Batters:
1. Assad Vala (Captain) – A tactical leader and anchor.
2. Sese Bau (Vice-Captain) – A dynamic power-hitter. A mystery spinner for the middle overs
3. Ainiu Loi – A consistent top-order run-scorer.
4.Lega Siaka prolific opening batsman with power hitter two-way match-winner.
5. Boio Ray – An explosive opener with crisp power hitter
All-Rounders:
6. Gaudi Toka – A top order batsman with pace-bowling all-rounder providing crucial balance.
7. Patrick Nou – A spin-bowling all-rounder with power-hitting ability.

Wicket-Keepers:

The Barramundis departed today for Brisbane for a Warm-up matches, supported by Queensland Cricket in preparation for the T20 World Cup Asia and EAP (East Asia and Pacific) Regional Final in Oman this October.
