The people of Nipa-Kutubu in Southern Highlands Province will benefit from two major infrastructure projects that will start in the final quarter of 2025.
Local MP and Minister for Defense and Emergency Services, Dr Billy Joseph, announced the two projects -Nipa-Kutubu Police Station and Nipa-Kutubu DDA Haus – to mark his 41st birthday.
Dr Joseph said construction work will being on the Police Station in the first week of October followed by the DDA Haus in the first week of November.
He said both projects will be funded by the Marape-Rosso Government.
“On the first day of my 41st year; I would like to make announcement of these very important infrastructure projects for the good people of Nipa-Kutubu,” Dr Joseph said.
“I have left my private life to serve you; so, every day I am working; including on my birthday. I am committed to the task for our district and our nation as a Cabinet Minister, a high-level platform, representing the good people of Nipa-Kutubu; and which is an honor I do not take it lightly.
“Building Nipa-Kutubu will not happen in a day or a year or a term. But in leadership, clarity of vision and consistency in converting those visions into reality step by step; is what one must measure leadership in the face of the many self-serving, short sighted narratives at play.
“Together, we can build a better Nipa-Kutubu for us today and our children into the future,” Dr Joseph concluded.
