The Chairman of the International Training Institute (ITI), Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval, has delivered essential goods valued at K3,000.00 to the Friends of Port Moresby General Hospital (FOPG), reinforcing the institute’s commitment to community support and social responsibility.
ITI, one of the leading institutions in quality education and training made the donation as part of its continued efforts to give back to the community. Traditionally known for sponsoring sports such as Cricket, Tennis, and Rugby, the institute is now expanding its focus to address more pressing community and health related needs.
Mr Sentheyval, who presented the donation on behalf of ITI, said the institute recognizes the growing financial challenges faced by many Papua New Guineans.
“Many people are struggling financially, and this is one small way we can help,” Mr Sentheyval said.
“We also see through social media that many individuals and organizations are doing similar initiatives, and we need more people to step forward and help where they can.”
Mr Sentheyval also confirmed that ITI intends to make similar donations on an annual basis as part of its long-term community outreach initiatives.
Friends of PMGH Manager Grace Roland, who received the donation, expressed sincere appreciation to ITI for their support.
“On behalf of Friends of PMGH, we thank ITI for supporting our work here at the hospital and, most importantly, the cause of assisting patients and families at the hospital,” Ms Roland said.
The Friends of PMGH continue to rely on the generosity of corporate and community partners to support patients and healthcare services at Port Moresby General Hospital.
