
Famous Papua New Guinean music artist Joseph Nomoru, widely known by his stage name “Kronos,” has secured two major nominations for the prestigious 20th Edition of the YUMI FM PNG Music Awards.
Kronos has been nominated in the highly competitive “Song of the Year” category for his hit single Daddy Raus, while also earning a nomination for “Male Artist of the Year.”
Over the years, the YUMI FM PNG Music Awards has remained Papua New Guinea’s leading platform dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of local musicians, singers, songwriters, producers, and bands across the country.
Kronos’ latest single Daddy Raus became one of the biggest songs in Papua New Guinea following its release, dominating YUMI FM’s Top 20, Top 8, and Top 4 countdown charts for several months. The song also gained massive popularity on social media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp, while becoming a regular soundtrack in PMVs, public gatherings, and communities throughout the country.
Speaking after receiving his nomination invitation from popular YUMI FM radio personality Kasty in Port Moresby, Kronos expressed gratitude to the YUMI FM team for recognizing his work and contribution to the local music industry.
The artist also took to TikTok to thank his loyal fans, sponsors, and supporters who have continuously stood by him throughout his musical journey.

Organizers have confirmed that the 2025–2026 YUMI FM PNG Music Awards will be held on Saturday, May 23, at the Lamana Gold Club in Port Moresby, where some of Papua New Guinea’s finest musical talents are expected to gather for the milestone 20th anniversary celebration.
