PAPUA New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) has given franchise clubs until Friday May 21 to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to take part in this year’s National Soccer League competition.

The announcement by PNGFA to accept EOI from the franchise clubs was made a week ago on May 7, 2021 and the recent press statement by PNGFA competition director Roosje Suwae highlighted its due date.

Suwae said all EOI must be submitted with non-refundable payment receipt of K10, 000 to the accounts details provided to them. The full annual affiliation fee is K80, 000 payable before May 28, 2021.

She added that they will not accept any late submission of EOI by franchise clubs to take part in the NSL season 2021.

Early submission of EOI by interested franchise owners are important for the planning and preparations of the competition.

The competition is scheduled to kick off on July 17, 2021 depending on the Covid-19 pandemic issues in the country.

However the competition will only be played in Lae and Port Moresby as a measure to prevent the community spread of Covid-19 in the country.
