THE SME Skills and Proposal Writing Training Program in Morobe Province held its 123rd graduation at the Markham District on Sunday, March 27 where 220 people graduated.
Morobe Governor Hon Ginson Goheyu Saonu explained during the event that the training was the fundamental foundation for Morobe Province to grasp the National Government’s SME Policy and it would, in the long run contribute to Morobe Province in becoming the Economic Capital of Papua New Guinea.
Governor Saonu said the trainings conducted encouraged people to make, utilize, spend, budget and save money.
“This program sets requirements for banks to be learnt and how be certified (IPA Registration & IRC TIN, SME Bank Account Opening).”
Until then (upon having that knowledge), Governor Saonu said the people would be able to get funding support from the National Government, Provincial Government, and the District and LLG as well.
