Digicel Pacific has announced that PNG’s Chief Executive Officer, Tarik Boudiaf, will step down from his position after serving nearly two years in the role.

In a statement released on Monday, the telecommunications company confirmed that Boudiaf will return to France to spend more time with his family.

Chief Executive Officer of Telstra International, Roary Stasko, acknowledged Boudiaf’s contribution to the company and reaffirmed Digicel PNG’s commitment to serving Papua New Guinea.

“Digicel PNG plays an important role in connecting people across the country. Our focus remains firmly on serving our customers, supporting communities, and contributing to the economic development of Papua New Guinea,” Stasko said.

He added that the company remains committed to delivering reliable connectivity and digital services to people throughout the country.

Digicel Pacific has confirmed that a recruitment process for a permanent replacement will commence soon.

In the interim, Brett Goschen will assume the role in an acting capacity to ensure continuity of operations and business momentum.

Digicel PNG is one of Papua New Guinea’s leading telecommunications providers, offering mobile, broadband, and digital services across the country.
