ELISEO Group are deeply heartbroken by the recent events that took place in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The looting and chaos that occurred on January 10, 2024, have caused severe damage to majority of the business units in Port Moresby, including Eliseo Group. Following this event, Eliseo Group has received an overwhelming amount of support and attention, for which we express our heartfelt gratitude.
The Management in a statement said first and foremost, they extended deepest gratitude to their 1000 local staff who have demonstrated tremendous courage and dedication in protecting their properties and foreign managers during this challenging time.
“Our security team, Pro-secure Security and Liama Security Service, have shown utmost dedication and commitment in safeguarding our facilities, especially as we faced looting attacks on seven different locations in a single day.
“Additionally, we would also like to express our appreciation for the support and assistance we have received from our suppliers, bankers, and all key stakeholders in the industry.
” Your care and understanding during this difficult period have been invaluable to us, and we are truly grateful for your unwavering support.
“Moreover, we want to thank our loyal customers and residents surrounding our branches who have supported us and protected us, significantly minimizing our losses from the looting.
“Regrettably, our Hohola Branch suffered severe damage, and shopping services will not be available in the short term. However, we have managed to reopen our other branches and are committed to supporting our customers’ essential needs. For the employees of Hohola Branch, we are still committed to secure your job with Eliseo Group.
“As an industry rooted in Papua New Guinea for nearly a decade, we treat our employees, suppliers, bankers, key stakeholders, and customers as family members.
During this difficult period, we remain committed to delivering our services and products without increasing prices, knowing it is our responsibility to serve the population. We still believe in Papua New Guinea and will continue investing and growing in the land of Papua New Guinea
