Mr Murua thanked Prime Minister James Marape, Central Province Governor Rufina Peter and Goilala MP Casmiro Aia for funding for the police operation in the rugged and remote terrain.
He commended the police personnel from the SSD unit in NCD and the Central police command in apprehending the suspects.
He also thanked Ivani Ward 3 councilor Edward Liam and the local community for convincing the suspects to surrender.
