Hunters ready to bounce back against Jets

After last week’s loss to the Brisbane Tigers, the Hunters have worked on addressing several areas and are now locked in on today’s Anti-Violence Round clash against the Ipswich Jets at the Santos National Football Stadium today

The Hunters are prepared to take on the competition leaders, the Ipswich Jets, at home in Port Moresby. Tenza explained that the team’s preparation has been centered on improving small details that can make a big difference in performance.

“We are stressing individual preparation as well. We can give everything, but it is up to the boys to prepare themselves on the day,” he said.

With the Anti-Violence Round approaching, Tenza stated that the importance of using the game to advocate against violence, highlighting the team’s role as ambassadors for sport and the country.

“This weekend is an important game for us—not only for the team but for our supporters as well. It is vital that the game is played in the right spirit and supported. Violence is a serious issue in the country, and the key message is to do what is right and stay out of trouble,” he stated.

Tenza expressed hope that the Hunters will secure a win and stressed the importance of sticking to the process. He also appealed to supporters to rally behind the team as they aim to return to winning form.

“It’s been tough in recent games, but we really need the fans’ support to get the result this weekend,” he concluded.
