THE Deputy Party Leader of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hon. Dr Billy Joseph has congratulated Stanley Muts Samban as Member elect for Wewak Open.
“Congratulations my brother and Hon MP for Wewak, Stanley Muts Samban for winning the Wewak Open Bye-Election.
“On behalf of SDP family, my party leader and Governor for NCD Hon Powes Parkop; I want to congratulate the people of Wewak for having faith in Stanley and our party,” Dr Billy said.
“We will continue to work very hard for our people in close cooperation with the Pangu Led Marape-Rosso Government.
“We will remain the third largest coalition partner in our government with six members.”
He also thanked those people behind the scene to deliver a successful Bye-election.
“I thank the family, supporters, coordinators, the SDP Party executives for working very hard to give us this result; which I know is no easy fit.
“We also thank and congratulate all the candidate, especially my friend Dr Dean Woruba and Moses Warie for finishing top three (3).
“My thank you would not be complete without acknowledging the hard work of the security forces and Electoral Commission for running a smooth and orderly election.
“The people of Wewak have spoken.
“Now it’s time to get to work to fix Wewak in partnership with the East Sepik Governor Hon. Allan Bird and the Pangu Led Marape-Rosso Government.”
Stanley maintained commanding early lead and finishes first with 14950 votes after the final elimination, while Moses Warie finishes second with 12411 votes.
