The Wau Waria District is geared to mobilize and engage its youths through the districts ‘Youth Empowerment Program’ initiated by the Open Member, Hon. Marsh Narewec MP. For effective implementation, the establishment of the youth council is the way forward; therefore NYDA was invited for a one day consultation on the 10th of November.
The outcome of the consultation is for both parties to;
- Establish partnership through an MOU
- Commence ward Youth registration
- Establish and formalise the Local, and District Youth councils respectively.
Present during the consultation were the District Administrator-Mr John Orebut, Member’s Political Officer – Mr Hercules Jim, Town Mayor, District officers and representatives from the communities.
