Counting for the 2023 Lagaip Supplementary Election began this morning at the Wabag Primary School in the heart of Wabag Town.
Twenty (20) ballot boxes were transferred to the from the Wabag Police Station under heavy escort by security forces on the ground.
According to the Returning Officer Mr.Newman Wailyo, of the total of 61 ballot boxes polled, no ballot boxes were disputed or destroyed.
Possibly, a winner will be declared by the end of this week.A total of 31 candidates have nominated to contest this maiden seat.
