I would like to address recent baseless accusations made against me by an individual whose identity remains unknown to me. It has come to my attention that he is reportedly the spouse of a former departmental officer who was recently released from service. It is important to note that his spouse’s departure was a result of her own choices and not a reflection of any personal vendetta against the department.
The incident in question occurred during a formal event, specifically the PNG-Australia Senior Official Meeting Event at Airways. In the company of my Senior Management team and other relevant line agencies, we were engaged in discussions related to the upcoming visit of Prime Minister James Marape to Canberra. Unfortunately, this individual, described as belligerent and intoxicated, chose to make false and defamatory accusations against my Executive Officer and a former Secretary.
I wish to categorically state that these allegations are entirely without merit and lack any factual basis. The individual in question went on a tirade, making outrageous claims about drug trafficking and impropriety. His statements are not only baseless but were made in a manner that displayed a complete lack of respect for the venue and other patrons.
Our Australian colleagues discreetly exited the scene to avoid any further disturbance, and I followed suit. It is crucial to emphasize that none of the accusations made during this incident holds any substance or truth. They are merely the result of a disgruntled individual seeking to settle personal scores and propagate falsehoods.
I must clarify that I am unfamiliar with the spouse in question, having been stationed in Washington DC for the past nine years during her recruitment. Upon her resignation, I accepted it amicably, noting concerns about chronic absenteeism and disruptive behavior towards fellow departmental staff.
I appreciate those who have brought this matter to my attention. I refrain from further comment, as I trust the public’s ability to discern baseless accusations from reality. Those who know me are aware of my commitment to integrity and professionalism. These accusations stem from a spiteful individual with a personal vendetta against certain officers and the department.

I have decided against getting him arrested over cybercrime of defamation and equally write to law society to have his law practicing license revoked.
