Melbourne Storm Winger Xavier Coates, famously known as Karu 600, in the recent selection for the Pacific Championship and Prime Minister’s XIII has preferred to put on the Australian Kangaroos Jersey and declines Papua New Guinea’s offer on the Kumuls Line Up.
Coates, who speaks much about his Kerema Origin from the Gulf of Papua New Guinea decided to switch national representative sides in rugby league, following Mal Meninga’s announcement, which saw the flying winger named on Australia’s Prime Minister’s XIII line up to face Papua New Guinea on October 13th at the Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
Reasons for this decision is only known to the 600 himself but dissappointed rugby league fans and the community in Papua New Guinea has been flooding social media with complaints and criticisms on the star ahead of the Pacific Championship and Prime Minister’s XIII match coming up.
