THE National Capital District Provincial Health Authority (NCDPHA) continues to strengthen emergency healthcare services in Port Moresby, with Gerehu General Hospital’s Emergency Department receiving upgraded medical equipment through the leadership and commitment of the NCDPHA Senior Management Team.
Under the guidance of Dr. Robin Oge, Chief Executive Officer of NCDPHA, this initiative ensures that frontline emergency staff and specialists are equipped with the necessary tools to deliver timely and effective care to patients in critical need.
The Acting Director of Curative Health Services, Dr. Siwi Wawe said, “Emergency care is the frontline of our health system.
“By providing modern equipment, we are empowering our doctors, nurses, and specialists to respond more effectively to critical cases,” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of NCDPHA, Dr. Oge said, “Our responsibility as management is to ensure that our emergency departments are fully equipped to respond to life-threatening situations.”
He added that the upgrading of medical equipment at Gerehu General Hospital reflects the commitment of NCDPHA’s management to supporting the staff and ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
