The National Capital District Provincial Health Authority (NCDPHA) has refuted recent claims circulating on social media about the closure of Gordon’s Urban Clinic and alleged shortages across its facilities.
It said Gordon’s Clinic successfully attended to more than 300 patients yesterday, demonstrating its continued services to the community.
NCDPHA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Robin Oge said: “I want to assure the residents of Port Moresby and the National Capital District that all NCDPHA clinics, including Gordon’s Clinic, are fully operational and open as usual to serve our community.
“We understand the critical importance of reliable healthcare access, and we remain committed to providing continuous services,” Dr Oge said.
“NCDPHA confirms that its clinics are stocked with essential medicines and supplies appropriate for the level of the health facility.
“Dedicated healthcare professionals are present daily to attend to patients and deliver quality care.
“The image circulated online is outdated and does not reflect the current situation.
“NCDPHA urges the public to disregard misleading information from unofficial sources that may cause unnecessary alarm and confusion.”
Dr Oge added that for accurate and verified information regarding clinic operating hours, services, and public health advisories, please refer to the official NCDPHA website at https://www.ncdpha.gov.pg/ or visit your nearest clinic.
He said the NCDPHA remained steadfast in its mission to deliver accessible, quality healthcare services to all people of the National Capital District.
“We appreciate the community’s trust and support as we continue our vital work.”
