STUDENTS from the school of the Holy Bible College at Debeini’s Living Waters Church in Gerehu were encouraged to become catalysts for change in their communities.
Edward Wange, the guest speaker and Senior Pastor of the Christian Outreach Centre Victory Church in Hohola, urged the students to make a positive impact in their communities.
He emphasized that as they graduate and step into their respective domains, they have the opportunity to start a new chapter in their lives.
“Remember that people are watching you. They have known your story from the first book you wrote, but now you have the chance to write a new book, and those who observe the content of that book will share your story,” Pastor Wange said.
When delivering his message during the 23rd graduation of the Holy Spirit School last Sunday, (May 28, 2023), Pastor Wange advised the students to cultivate meaningful relationships in their communities driven by love.
“Do not be motivated solely by outcomes. Miracles you witness can come and go. Instead, build a strong relationship with God and with people so that you can experience the continuous miracles in your life.”
He added, “Love entails sacrificing oneself to serve others”.
A total of 36 students graduated from various levels of Spiritual Studies.
Nineteen year 1 students received certificates in Spiritual Studies, six year 2 students were awarded the Advanced Certificate in Spiritual Studies, and 11 year 3 students received their Advanced Diploma in Spiritual Studies.
The founding principal of the school, senior Pastor Peter Solomon encouraged the students to remain steadfast in their service to God, acknowledging that it can sometimes be a lonely path.
“Establish yourself on the foundation of God’s word, build your ministry on his word, and you will be able to stand firm through life’s storms,” he said.
“Do not rely on human approval but seek God alone. Your success in ministry is dependent on your personal relationship with God.”
He concluded by saying: “Take what we have taught you and apply it in your lives. This school is practical, and we expect practical outcomes from our students”.
Pastor Solomon also emphasized the importance of making God the center of their lives in everything they do.
Meanwhile, the head boy, Rodney Mait, expressed gratitude on behalf of the students to the school administration, staff, and fellow students.
“We celebrate our graduation today while embarking on a new chapter in our lives. We have been called to be servants in this harvest field, and although it presents new challenges, we have faith that God will provide, guide, and equip us for the work ahead,” Mr Mait expressed.
The graduation ceremony was coincided with the celebration and church service at Debeini’s Living Waters Ministry.
