A FOUR year old girl fell of a tree and a sharp object punctured her stomach resulting in all her intestines falling out.

Seneika Kinsly fell around 5am on Saturday morning and was carried to Sengapi Health centre around noon from their village.  She received first aid treatment by the health workers at Sengapi Health Centre in Madang where she awaited medivac by Heli Solutions.

Heli Solutions reached Sengapi at 3pm and airlifted Seneika and her parents to Modilon Hospital in Madang.

This morning, Heli Solutions Pilot, Captain Boga confirmed with Madang Provincial Health Authority Director, Dr Martin Damian that Seneika is recovering very well and is soon to be discharged.

Many parts of Papua New Guinea are inaccessible by road and the only way is to respond to medical emergencies are via air. As a result, provinces like Madang and Jiwaka have ventured into service level agreements with Heli Solutions for medivac purposes for health emergency cases.

However, in many cases, Heli Solutions at no cost airlifts many people in rural communities to the nearest hospitals to receive better health attention.
