SP PNG Hunters face a challenging match against the Redcliff Dolphins, but the team remains focused on their weekly training, says assistant coach Wesa Tenza.
Hunters secured their first win against the Western Clydesdales during the round three of the QRL Hostplus Cup 2026 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.
Hunters won with a convincing 38 to 14 victory over the Clydesdales, which has placed them in the 11th spot on the ladder.
Speaking during the media interview this week, Tanza highlighted the team’s performance during the round three match and outlined several areas that is being worked on in preparation for Saturday’s game.
“I think we really need the win to kick start our season. The win had helped us a lot. For the first two round we lost two games and we really needed that win,” he said.
“The boys are really down after the two rounds. We have prepared well. Prepared strong for this game and we finally got the win.”
