ITI is first private institute to get CPA Aust accreditation

The International Training Institute has been recognized as the first private institute in PNG to earn CPA Australia Accreditation, says Chairman and co-founder Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval.

“ITI is proud to announce that it’s Bachelor of Accounting and Finance has been officially accredited by CPA Australia, one of the world’s leading professional accounting bodies,” he said.

 “This means that our students can become associate membership on completion of their Bachelor of Accounting and Finance programs which also means our students can now access international pathways.

“This recognition places ITI among a distinguish group of institution whose graduates gain a direct pathway to globally recognized professional qualifications.

“The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) was the first degree program introduced into the institution this year and the first batch expected to be eligible for this CPA Australia upon their degree completion after two years.”

Mr. Sentheyval said after the completion of the Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) program, students would be automatically eligible for the associate membership with CPA Australia, which opens pathways to career opportunities across the Pacific region and beyond.

 “The program is fully approved and registered with the Department of Higher Education Research Science and Technology and is recognized by three leading professional accounting bodies, CPA PNG, CPA Australia and Institute of Public Accountants (IPA Australia),” he said.

 “The students can then study the six modules with CPA Australia to be formally recognized as registered accountants with a degree that can permit them for employment opportunities within as well as internationally.

“After 26 years of operation in PNG and with these achievements the institution aims to upgrade all its diploma programs into degree programs within  two years whilst adding new degree programs and even including Masters Programs uplifting the intuition’s status into a university.

“This achievement is a testament to the dedication of its faculty and staff whose, commitment to academic excellence. It reflects ITI broader mission to raise the quality of tertiary education in PNG and equipment graduates to compete on the world stage,” Mr Sentheyval said.
