A man from the Kandrian-Gloucester who walked days through harsh forest canopy to get to Kimbe, the provincial capital of West New Britain has died along the bush track.

Relatives of the deceased man identified as Alois Wai Baurus from Au village, ward 7 of inland Kandrian, said he died along the mining junction (Nakru exploration) road towards Penlolo-Gasmata due to bad weather conditions, shortage of food and water.

The PNG Bulletin was reliably informed today the body is still lying at the same spot waiting for the doctors to attend to it.

The Kandrian-Gloucester District is in accessible, isolated and is in dire need of good road network system to link up the provincial capital.
