THE Papua New Guinea Law Society (PNGLS) has officially launched its new website, providing improved access to information and services for both legal practitioners and the public.
The website, www.pnglawsociety.org.pg, was launched on Monday, July 13, 2026, marking the Society’s return to an online platform after its previous website was unavailable for several months due to administrative and technical issues.
PNGLS Acting Secretary Tauvasa Tanuvas thanked members and the public for their patience and understanding while efforts were made to restore and upgrade the platform.
Mr Tanuvas said the new website features a Lawyers Directory and Law Firms Directory, making it easier for members of the public to verify lawyers and identify legal practitioners who hold valid practising certificates issued by the PNG Law Society.
He said users can search the directory using a range of criteria, including a lawyer’s name, location, law firm and practice area, helping individuals and organisations find legal practitioners with expertise suited to their needs.
Mr Tanuvas said the website was designed to improve public access to information about the legal profession in Papua New Guinea while delivering a more user-friendly experience.
“The directory allows users to search for lawyers using a range of criteria, including lawyer name, location, law firm and practice area. This enables individuals and organisations seeking legal assistance to find practitioners with expertise in specific fields,” he said.
“The new website has been designed to improve public access to information about the legal profession in PNG while providing a more user-friendly experience for visitors,” he added.
Other features available on the website include news and updates, member benefits information, and a dedicated member portal, along with other resources and services for the legal community.
Mr Tanuvas said the Society remains committed to continuously enhancing the website and introducing new features over time to improve access to information and services for both legal practitioners and the wider community.
