FOR the first time since independence, Telefomin District in West Sepik Province will soon embrace a new dawn of road connection.
This will be made possible when the new road construction which runs from Tabubil in Western Province connecting Telefomin district gets completed any time soon.
This is one of the impacted road projects under the Marape-Rosso Government’s CONNECT PNG Programme.
Currently, the construction work remains ongoing with few kilometres remaining before reaching Telefomin station.
In the past, Telefomin was considered one of the most rural and isolated districts that lacks such vital services, however, this will now be the thing of past.
Credit to the Member for Telefomin and Minister for Works and Highways, Hon. Solan Mirisim for having this massive project up and running under his belt, with the support of the National Government.
It is through road connections and accessibility that will made possible the provision and availability of all other basic services needed in the Telefomin District.
