Kagua-Erave Community leader Nicholas Sambu is calling on Provincial & Local Level Government Affairs Minister Soroi Eoe and Public Service Minister Joe Sungi to urgently confirm and publicly declare the legitimate Acting Chairman and CEO/District Administrator for Kagua-Erave District.

Mr. Sambu said the district has been left without proper government presence for nearly 9 months following the removal of former MP Maina Pano through an Election Petition in September 2025.

He said conflicting claims over who holds the Acting Chairman and CEO positions, along with contradictory correspondence from authorities, have caused confusion and negatively affected government services, law and order operations, SME activities, infrastructure projects, and support for the district’s four LLGs.

“With the 2027 National Elections only months away, Kagua Erave cannot continue operating without clear leadership and government authority on the ground,” Mr. Sambu stated.

He is urging the responsible Ministers to immediately intervene and officially clarify who the recognized district leaders are in order to restore stability, service delivery, and public confidence.

  1. Kagua Erave is highly populated with its complex geographical area that requires its leadership in place for service delivery. A well balanced call thats been collecting dust for this long. Kagua Erave supports this call and we expect a favourable response immediately.
