FINANCE and Treasury functions in Kairuku, Central Province have been boosted with the revitalising of the treasury office in Bereina.
The invigorated office brings confidence, stimulates treasury functions in the district, guided by finance and treasury guidelines.
Provincial Finance Manager Walis Imbal in his official remarks said that the refurbished office marks a fresh start for Kairuku district.
He commended the support of Governor Rufina Peter and acting Provincial Administrator Magino Raga for continued support in enforcing the systems of treasury and finance mechanisms in the entire five district of Central.
He stressed on the functions of finance and treasury guided by the Finance Management Act, that underlines the core pinnacle of finance utilities that accommodates the roles and responsibilities if its functions.
He said the opening of the refurbished office, shows the level of support from the provincial administration and the district through local MP Peter Isoaimo.
He commented the generosity of the local MP, Peter Isoaimo in showing support towards treasury functions in the district.
First Assistant Secretary, for Finance Chris Waea responsible for Provincial Finance Management division commended the Kairuku district administration and the local MP to partner in the rural sector development programs through treasury functions in the district.
He said finance and treasury functions was a nation wide government program that instills partnership and trust to be built at all levels of governance.
Bereina ward members Allan Arua in his remarks welcomed the revived functions of treasury in the district as a substantial improvement in strengthening service delivery mechanism in the district.
He commended Mr Imbal in restoring hope for the people of Kairuku through the revived functions of finance and treasury in the district.
