The Catholic Church in Laiagam District gathered together at Kepelam in the Pilikambi Local Level Government area to welcome their pioneer MP on Thursday.
No leader from the Pilikambi LLG has won the then Lagaip-Pogera Open Seat and recently the Pangu Pati patriot proved all critics wrong by grasping the pioneer Lagaip Open Seat.
The district is made up of the Pilikambi LLG, Lagaip LLG and the recently Provincial Executive Council endorsed Surinki LLG.
Akem assured the Catholic Church and other churches in the district that he will continue to work with them to promote education, health and other social services throughout the district.
