BULOLO COFFEE NURSERY

Bulolo Open MP Hon.Sam Basil, Jnr is trying to nurture coffee in his district.
The Bulolo District in Morobe Province is widely known for alluvial mining and small scale gold mining in parts of the district but the introduction of a renewable resource like coffee is welcoming news for the people to meaningful participate.
The United Labour Party (ULP) first term parliamentarian showed photographs of the pilot coffee nursery at Zenag outside of Bulolo.
He said that coffee is taking shape with cocoa and coconut not yet implemented.
The MP also highlighted the sourcing of citrus and avocado taking place.
The MP is determined to introduce agriculture throughout the district one at a time.
The Bulolo Open Seat and the Wau-Waria Open Seat were separately created after the split of the Wau-Bulolo Open Electorate by the Electoral Boundaries Commission with their maiden elections held in the recent 2022 National General Elections.
